The fifth encounter with the work of two recently deceased painters holds particular significance, both historically and personally.

The previous four took place during their lifetimes – in Warsaw (1978, 1981), The Hague (1985), and Sopot (2006). Both Tomasz Ciecierski (1945–2024) and Włodzimierz Jan Zakrzewski (1946–2025) also presented their works numerous times at the EGO Gallery in individual exhibitions. The gallery was likewise involved in their large-scale retrospective exhibitions at the National Museum in Poznań.

The present exhibition has an intimate character; it reveals an intriguing chapter of their painterly friendship. It also serves as a tribute from the curators to their outstanding achievements.
